Connecting RoutesThe Alaska Highway is the historical gateway to Northern Canada, the Yukon and Alaska. Dawson Creek is Mile 0 of this famed highway. The Alaska Highway can be accessed directly by two major road routes. The west access route links Interstate 5, Trans-Canada 1, and British Columbia Highway 97 to form the most direct route to Dawson Creek. This is a two-lane primary paved route with passing lanes throughout. It is open year round, and runs through Vancouver and Prince George to reach Dawson Creek. The total distance from Seattle, Washington to Dawson Creek is 817 miles. Both routes are magnificently scenic and have many local attractions, events, and handicrafts of reputable heritage and culture. |
